Eager as you may be to know what happened to Ms. Vance's case, I am still in the process of organizing my notes. I wrote, however, to tell you that once that case had been wrapped up, my employer suddenly disappeared. Oh, of course I don't mean disappeared as a coin would in a magician's hand -- more like he just left without telling me where he was going! The nerve! Yes, I know, I am well aware that he is under no obligation to tell me what he does in his spare time, but I just thought... well, never mind.
So you can imagine my astonishment when I received this:
It was rather thoughtful of him, wouldn't you agree?
